Karakterre is an incredible two-day natural wine event that takes place yearly in Burgenland, Austria, and additionally in New York. It unites wine producers from Austria along with a few acquaintances from the surrounding countries. This year is my maiden attendance and these are some snapshots from the festival and related events, which incorporated visits to Tschida, Preisinger, Schödl, Gut Oggau, dinner at Markus Altenberger and the vineyards of Hannes Schuster.
