By | 23 July 2026

Based in Platt, in the Weinviertel region of Austria, Weingut Wolfgang Seher manages 18 hectares of vineyards across two villages. The estate has a diverse range of soils—from calcareous loess and clay in Platt to granitic soils in Obermarkersdorf, which is about 12 km from the border. Wolfgang Seher took over the family winery in 2001, and the vineyards mainly consist of 70% Grüner Veltliner alongside Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, Gelber Muskateller for whites, and Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot for reds. The winery’s annual production is approximately 60,000 bottles.
