Luis Seabra, a prominent figure in Portuguese winemaking, is renowned for his commitment to producing authentic wines. Previously the winemaker for Niepoort, Seabra embarked on his own journey in 2013 with a vision of crafting uncompromising wines that reflect the true character of the Douro, Vinho Verde, and Dão regions. He emphasizes low-intervention winemaking techniques, utilizing natural yeast ferments and whole bunch fermentation for his reds, all while aiming for a delicate balance in extraction.
Working with select vineyards, Seabra ensures a meticulous approach to winemaking, with some red wines willing to spend up to 30 days on the skins for gentle extraction. His wines stand out due to their finesse, elegance, and authentic representation of their terroirs.
