Decanter’s November 2026 issue brings together wine recommendations, regional features, travel ideas and the magazine’s annual Spain guide.
The issue includes Andy Howard MW’s selection of 50 Bordeaux wines under £25, a look at Washington’s emerging white wines and a feature on South Africa’s South Coast. Matt Walls also picks 25 wines for fans of northern Rhône reds, while Tom Hewson examines how climate change is affecting Champagne.
Other highlights range from French auberges and wine pairings for spicy food to stories on Georgian whiskey, coffee and the aromas of wine. The buying guide features tastings of Italy’s indigenous white varieties and disease-resistant Piwi grapes, alongside recommendations for everyday and special-occasion bottles.
Spain guide 2026
The accompanying Spain guide explores the country’s changing wine scene. Its features include wines made near Madrid, the future plans of Vega Sicilia and the development of Corpinnat, the group of estates that left the Cava appellation. The guide also visits Cantabria, looks at Spanish Christmas traditions and presents a tasting of premium Spanish whites: 177 wines were assessed, with 21 rated Outstanding.
The November issue also includes a reader survey, open until 30 November. Participants can enter a draw to win one of three bundles combining 12-month magazine and Decanter Premium subscriptions.
