Unveiling the Highlights of Casa Valduga Arte Tradicional Brut 2024: A Brazilian Sparkling Wine Sensation

By | 7 June 2026

I’m currently at the São Paulo airport in Brazil, reflecting on a fantastic few days spent exploring coffee at Fazenda Mio. While here, I decided to sample the only Brazilian wine available to me, which turned out to be a delightful and reasonably priced sparkling wine.

Casa Valduga Arte Tradicional Brut 2024 is crafted using the traditional method, combining 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. With a year spent on its lees, this sparkling wine showcases a fruit-forward profile that is both aromatic and approachable. Tasting notes reveal sweet pear and cherry flavors, complemented by a hint of sweetness and bright citrus tones. It’s a juicy and enjoyable wine, designed for pleasure rather than complexity, and it finishes with a subtle bitterness that enhances its character. The wine is a solid choice for just over £10 in Brazil, earning a rating of 88/100.
