Les Epicurieux in Ampuis ranks highly among my preferred spots for dining and indulging in fine wine, functioning simultaneously as a wine bar, restaurant, and retailer. Co-owner Arnaud Boisset knows his wine well and often recommends gems. As I was perusing their collection, he approached with a bottle— a 2022 IGP Collines Rhodaniennes Syrah.
