Carranco Contrada Carranco Etna Rosso 2020
This represents only the second vintage. A submerged cap for one month is followed by a year in big oak. This version is fine, fresh and expressive. You’ll notice mineral with stony detail underpinning the raspberry and cherry fruit. It’s refined with a juicy edge and hints of warm spice and herb characters. Average rating is 94/100

Carranco Contrada Carranco Etna Rosso RV 2020
This exclusive wine has just 1800 bottles in circulation. 100% whole bunch treatment, with the whole clusters and berries layered like lasagne in the vat. It’s textured and refined, featuring sweet raspberries, cherries and some plums. Also detect a bit of grip, too. Stony, mineral facets exist alongside ripe strawberry. It’s very fine with good structure: a truly lovely wine. Earned 95/100
