Noteworthy flavors include white pepper, pear, and richer peach notes, along with savory and spicy hints of chamomile and herbs. Its complexity is enhanced by ginger, pepper, dried herbs, and wood spice, powering a mouthfeel of rich fruit. It scored an impressive 94/100 and retails for £38.50 at Berry Bros & Rudd.
Ponzi Vineyards Laurelwood District Pinot Noir 2022
With an alcohol level of 13.8%, this Pinot Noir from the same region initially presents a subdued nose, but showcases lovely elegance and focus on the palate. Its flavor profile reflects sweet cherry and raspberry fruit accented by subtle spicy oak. The wine is juicy with vibrant energy and acidity, culminating in a tapering finish of red fruit. It is classified as stylish and promising for aging, with a score of 93/100.
