Giulia and Giorgio Antonioli transitioned into the world of winemaking after successful careers in different fields; she was an archaeologist and he an art historian. In 2018, they decided to shift paths and leased old vineyards on the slopes of the Apennine Mountains in Umbria, Italy, which they meticulously renovated.
Now operating under the name Cantina Antoliolo, they take advantage of vineyards featuring 60-120 year old vines planted in limestone and clay soils. Their primary white varietals are Trebbiano Toscana and Malvasia. The couple practices enlightened viticulture and natural winemaking, showcasing a superb array of wines that highlight the distinctive qualities of their terroir.
