Discover Domaine Milan: Crafting Exceptional Natural Wines in Provence

By | 27 April 2026

On a recent Saturday morning, I visited Dynamic Vines in Bermondsey, where Natalie Milan showcased a selection of wines from Domaine Milan. Formerly known as Henri Milan, the estate has shifted leadership to Henri’s son, Théophile, and his wife, Natalie. The estate was initiated by Henri’s father, who started focusing on organic and natural wine production.

Nestled in the foothills of the Alpilles in Provence, Domaine Milan boasts unique soil types. The white wines primarily come from vineyards with blue clay soils, while the red varietals are sourced from limestone and sandy soils. The reds undergo fermentation in concrete tanks, using whole bunches with minimal maceration.

Here are some highlights from the tasting:

  • Henri Milan Brut Nature Blanc 2023: A blend of Macabeo and Grenache Gris, this wine features lively, pure, and lemony aromas with great acidity and delicate citrus fruit, earning a score of 92/100.

  • Théophile Milan Haru Blanc 2024: Composed of Chenin Blanc, Savagnin, Grenache Blanc, Chardonnay, and Roussanne, this wine has a lovely texture and notes of apple and white peach, showcasing precision and purity with a score of 94/100.

  • Théophile Milan Haru Rosé 2024: A blend of Grenache, Syrah, and a hint of Cinsault, this rosé displays aromas of cherry and pear, with a richly textured palate and a score of 93/100.
