Watch Vitibot Bakus: Revolutionizing Vineyard Maintenance in Bourgogne

By | 13 April 2026

I recently had the opportunity to see the Vitibot Bakus, an autonomous vineyard robot, in action for the first time at Domaine Louis Latour’s Grand Cru Corton-Charlemagne vineyards. This robot, which I’ve known about for years, is designed for precision cultivation tasks under the vine, a job known for being time-consuming and requiring careful execution.

The Bakus is praised for its maneuverability, allowing it to turn effectively in narrow headlands, which is essential for maintaining the vineyard’s layout. Its innovative design is making waves in vineyard management, promising increased efficiency in labor-intensive tasks.

For a closer look at how Vitibot Bakus operates, you can view a detailed video of its performance here.
