So on the final day of our trip, we had some time to spare before our 5 pm ferry. We decided to revisit Cherinissos, which boasts a stunning bay and a delightful fish tavern. The day was perfect for swimming, and we experienced a superb lunch accompanied by a bottle of the exquisite Sclavos white wine that I had purchased at Mr. Vertigo at the beginning of our journey. The backdrop was breathtaking, making it a wonderful conclusion to our short getaway.
As a small added highlight, during our earlier visit to Cantina, I marveled at the unique ceramics that were used. This curiosity led us to discover Sifnos Stoneware, located in the village of Artemonas. Founded in 2006 by Antonis Kalagirou, this ceramic business stems from a family tradition. After living in the USA for 30 years, Antonis returned to Sifnos, having studied engineering at Nottingham University before embracing the family craft. The quality and artistry of their ceramics are truly impressive.
