Situated just north of Oxford Street and on the way to Regent’s Park, The Remedy is quickly gaining recognition as one of London’s prime wine bars. While compact in size, it usually accommodates walk-ins and boasts not only an impressive wine selection but also a robust menu of delightful food.
Under the guidance of Andrea Sabbatini, The Remedy offers a carefully curated wine list that leans toward intriguing regions and low-intervention wines, striking a balance without veering fully into the realm of natural wines.
During a recent visit, the experience began with two small plates alongside selections from their inventive wine offerings. The first standout was the Sylvain Pataille Bourgogne Aligote 2023 from France, which presented a taut minerality and bold citrus fruit notes, earning a score of 93/100 for its expressive profile.
Choosing the second wine was equally challenging. While the Meinklang 2022 was vibrant and slightly wild, we ultimately opted for the Fanny Sabre Anatole Rouge 2023, a blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay. This wine featured juicy cherry and raspberry flavors, bright acidity, and a delightful finish, garnering a remarkable score of 94/100.
For anyone in search of excellent wine and food in a welcoming atmosphere, The Remedy is definitely worth a visit.
