Angiolino Maule and his wife Rosamaria established one of Italy’s foremost natural wineries in 1988, after a decade of experience as pizza makers. Located in Sorio di Gambarella, they initially cultivated a 6-hectare plot but have since expanded to 18 hectares, now involving their sons in the family-run vineyard. The winery focuses primarily on producing natural wines, with an emphasis on the Garganega grape.
In 2006, Angiolino founded the natural wine association VinNatur, which has grown to over 200 members, promoting the principles of natural winemaking.
Among their notable contributions is the Angiolino Maule Masieri 2023 from Veneto, an elegant natural wine with 11% alcohol. This particular wine is crafted from Garganega grapes raised in stainless steel barrels. It boasts a remarkable profile with characteristics such as pure pear, citrus, and minerality, enhanced by hints of mint, dried herbs, mandarin, and a subtle richness of melon. The wine finishes with a slight saltiness, making it both satisfying and great value, earning a rating of 93 out of 100.
