Château Mouton Rothschild 2023, deemed a possible 100-point wine by Georgie Hindle at Decanter’s, has followed the course of annual price reductions in the Bordeaux en primeur campaign, having been offered at €324 per bottle ex-négociant on Monday, May 6.
This equates to a 37.2% reduction on the kick-off price for Mouton 2022 from the previous year, says Liv-ex, a global trading platform, and UK dealers put the wine at £4,068 per case of 12-bottle in bond (IB).
Angélus 2023 is also up for grabs, with a 25.7% price drop on the initial cost of its 2022 vintage, at €260 per bottle ex-négociant.
These significant new releases were made following Decanter‘s complete judgement on the Bordeaux 2023 vintage, accompanied by tasting remarks and ratings for the highest scoring wines.
