Discovering Failla Wines: Exquisite Site-Specific Wines from Northern California’s Finest Vineyards

By | 29 December 2025

Ehren Jordan is the winemaker and owner of Failla Wines, renowned for producing site-specific wines from some of northern California’s best vineyards. His journey in the wine industry began at Joseph Phelps in Napa as a tour guide, where he quickly moved into the cellar after impressing the vice president, Bruce Neyers. After gaining international experience interning in the northern Rhône with Jean-Luc Colombo, he returned to work with Neyers and later joined Turley as a winemaker, a position he held for 18 years.

Failla was founded in 1998 with a focus on crafting elegant Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah. Jordan, an early advocate for the Fort Ross-Seaview region on the Sonoma Coast, secured land there in 1997 and planted 4 hectares of grapes.
