Terres d’Imaginaire is a promising new winery located in Anjou, spearheaded by 32-year-old Mathilde Magne in Rochefort-sur-Loire. Launched in 2022, Mathilde’s venture follows experience gained working with esteemed figures like Sylvain Pataille and Stefano Amerighi. With 9.2 hectares of vineyards, the winery produces around 30,000 bottles annually, emphasizing biodiversity in its vineyard practices and a natural fermentation process in the cellar with minimal sulfite use.

The 2023 vintage includes several remarkable wines:

  • Terres d’Imaginaire Feu Follet Chenin (12% alcohol): A wine that combines lightness and expressive energy, showing mineral and chalky qualities with notes of lemon and green apple, enhanced by a subtle fizz. Rating: 93/100.

  • Terres d’Imaginaire Coteaux Roux Chenin (12% alcohol): This wine provides substance with chalky, saline, and subtly mineral characteristics, balanced by a refreshing tangy acidity. Rating: 94/100.
